Get involved in the local Environmental Movement!! Whether you like to get down and dirty, wet and watery, or just want to learn more about nature...there's a way you can impact our environment and the people who live in it.

A portion of each client's payment goes to the local green charity of their choice.

 

  • Mayor's Green Team: The Green Team advises the Mayor on environmental needs, assists with community outreach, and hosts guest speakers on environmental issues in our community. Please join us the 2nd Friday of every month to learn about what the city is doing, and offer your own input and ideas on how we can make Salt Lake City a greener place to live.

  • Build Green Utah is an nonprofit association of proactive building professionals that are investing in a sustainable future through the promotion of green home building throughout the state of Utah.
  • HEAL Utah is a grassroots organization dedicated to engaging citizens in efforts to promote clean energy and protect Utah from nuclear and toxic waste.  HEAL is committed to creating a future of clean, sustainable economic and energy development for Utah by promoting an energy sector based on renewable energy.

  • National Parks Conservation Association is an advocacy group whose mission is to protect and enhance America's National Parks for present and future generations. The Southwest Regional office in Salt Lake City works on issues in the Four Corners states including clean air and climate change, wildlife, and protection of natural and culture resources.

  • Net Impact’s mission is to improve the world by growing and strengthening a network of new leaders who are using the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact.
  • Save Our Canyons is dedicated to protecting the beauty and wildness of the Wasatch mountains, canyons, and foothills. They strive to educate the public and further the goals of protecting the natural environments around Salt Lake City. It is because of their hard work that Lone Peak, Twin Peaks, and Mount Olympus are Federally designated Wilderness Areas.
  • TreeUtah is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to tree planting and education. Through these actions we hope to inspire and empower our communities to become active, knowledgeable stewards of our natural environment. Since 1990, TreeUtah has planted over 300,000 trees throughout the State of Utah. We seek to educate the public about the environmental and social benefits that healthy tree communities provide.
  • The Utah Rivers Council protects Utah's rivers and clean water sources for today's citizens, future generations, and wildlife. We implement this mission through grassroots organizing, direct advocacy, research, education, community leadership, and — when absolutely necessary — litigation on the behalf of rivers and people.
  • The Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE) provides statewide leadership by expanding the quality, scope and effectivenesses of environmental education. USEE cultivates ecological knowledge to build environmental consciousness that ensures economic, social and environmental sustainability for Utah.

  • WabiSabi Moab thrift stores supports the community with recycled style and grace.  Part of our dream is to see WabiSabi modeled in other rural communities where resources may be limited, but where strong community partnership exists with individuals committed to fostering a healthy environment and a positive future. 

  • Wasatch Community Gardens is a community-based nonprofit organization serving Salt Lake Valley since 1989. Our mission is to help people grow and share fresh produce; teach urban youth responsibility, cooperation and ecological awareness; and to be an active resource for sustainable organic gardening.
